A new format for Chimay beer cheese

We are very proud of our famous beer cheese, which is the fruit of our master cheese-makers' expertise. Fortunately, they do not have to look far to find the right beer for their cheeses! From the very start of production, the emblematic Chimay Bleue beer is directly mixed in to the milk, passing on its subtle flavours to the cheese.

The result is a flavoursome beer cheese with an intense taste and smooth texture, which is now available in a new 2 kg format, a delicious and smart presentation suited to a wide range of tasting occasions.

Chimay 175: an exclusive beer to celebrate Scourmont Abbey’s 175th anniversary

To celebrate Scourmont Abbey’s 175th anniversary, we have brewed Chimay 175.

This unique and sophisticated pale ale lights up our glasses with its golden robe and fine foam. Its elegant bouquet boasts notes of citrus, red apple and spices, while its taste balanced between freshness and spicy complexity appeals with every mouthful.

Chimay 175 is available exclusively in casks from our partner establishments. We invite you to come and taste it and join us in celebrating 175 years of brewing expertise, tradition and passion.

The Chimay beers and cheeses have always featured the ‘Trappist’ label: your guarantee that the beer and cheese are produced within the abbey’s walls or in the abbey’s immediate vicinity, under the supervision of the abbey’s monks, and that the majority of the revenue from sales is donated to good causes.
